Reflecting on My 9th Diorama Calendar

I’m thrilled to say that my yearly calendar is finally complete, and I hoped you enjoyed  all the B-side photos, along with the behind-the-scenes videos of the Dioramas I shared leading up to the release. It’s hard to believe that 2025 will mark my *ninth* calendar! It all started back in 2016 when I made my first one as table gifts for the Integrity Toys Supermodel Convention.

Every year, I’ve told myself it would be my last. Some years, the calendars barely sold, and I often found myself investing more than I earned. But then, someone would reach out to tell me how much they enjoyed the calendar, and suddenly, I’d be ready to dive back in. Looking back, I’m grateful I stuck with it. The process of creating these calendars has given me a clear timeline of how my style, skills, and creativity have evolved over the years.

Without this project, I might never have had the confidence to pursue my Master’s in Photography, focusing on diorama work, nor would I have fulfilled my long-standing dream of creating photography zines. The calendars have become a creative touchstone for me, and I’m excited to see how the 2025 edition shapes up.
